{tamarind + chile + lime}

Tequila highball

  • 2 oz mezcal or tequila
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 2 dashes of bitters
  • 3/4 oz {tamarind + chile + lime} syrup

In a shaker tin filled with ice, add mezcal or tequila, lime juice, bitters and {tamarind+chile+lime} syrup. Shake well and strain into a glass over ice. Optional: top with mango flavored sparkling water

Curious Claw

  • 1 oz {tamarind + chile + lime} syrup
  • Mango White Claw
  • 1/4 cup diced mango or mango puree

In a tall glass filled with ice, drizzle {tamarind+chile+lime} syrup. Add mangos or mango puree. Top with mango White Claw.

{tamarind+chile+lime} Margarita

  • 1-1/2 oz tequila
  • 3/4 oz Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 3/4 oz {tamarind + chile + lime} syrup
  • Tajin rimmed glass and lime wheel for garnish

Rim rocks glass with Tajin. In a shaker tin filled with ice, combine tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and {tamarind_chile+lime} syrup. Shake well and strain into a Tajin rimmed rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Mezcal Margarita

  • 1/2 oz {tamarind + chile + lime} syrup
  • 1/2 oz Grand Marnier
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz El Silencio Mezcal 

Method: shaken

The Chile and mezcal smokiness fit perfect. I supported the tamarind with a bit of Grand Marnier, and the lime gives that margarita/Mexican identity a little bit of balance.

Mexican Sour Candy

  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 1 oz egg whites
  • 1 oz {tamarind+chile+lime} syrup
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • Tajin rimmed glass and lime wheel for garnish

Rim rocks glass with Tajin. In a shaker tin, combine whiskey, egg whites, {tamarind_chile+lime} syrup, and lime juice . Dry shake for 15-20 seconds, then add ice and shake again. Strain into rocks glass rimmed with Tajin and garnish with a lime wheel.

ZERO PROOF

  • 2 oz strong green tea (2 bags per 8 oz water)
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • 3/4 oz {tamarind+chile+lime} syrup
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • Tajin dipped lime wheel for garnish

In a shaker tin filled with ice, combine all ingredients. Shake and strain into rocks glass and  garnish with a Tajin dipped lime wheel.
